I am from San Juan, Puerto Rico, and have lived in beautiful Italy for the last 22 years with my husband Mauro. We live in a town in the Venetian countryside, just outside of Venice. I am a translator and editor, and love to travel and meet new people. My hobby is finding less touristy travel experiences packed with beauty that create lasting memories and don’t necessarily break the bank:

• A place with a stunning view for a sunset spritz in Venice away from the maddening crowds
• A romantic picnic or meal overlooking the Prosecco Hills, a UNESCO World Heritage site
• Swimming in a turquoise jewel of a lake high above Lake Garda
• Exploring postcard-perfect towns and savoring the hearty cuisine of the South Tyrol
• Trekking in the breathtaking Dolomites
