I’ve lived in Rome for 15 years and it is truly a wonderful city with so much more to offer if you scratch the surface than just the standard ruins and monuments (which, granted are pretty mind blowing). I love showing the city off to my friends and family when they come and my enthusiasm for food and the quirkier aspects of the city enhance their visits.
